Suggested Use
Sort & rinse. Bring 3 cups water & 1 cup barley to boil, reduce, & simmer, covered, for 1-1 1/2 hours, or until grain is tender.
- Soak grain overnight to reduce cooking time.
- Sub for rice in soups, stews, casseroles, & salads.
- Ground or cracked barley adds texture & flavor to crackers, breads, & cookies.
