Kirkman’s Children’s Chewable Melatonin 3 mg Chocolate Tablets are specially formulated for children with a delicious chocolate flavor that kids love — and they’re chewable!

Melatonin is a hormone produced in the brain by the pineal gland from serotonin. It is used primarily to support sleep. It is also commonly used to reduce jet lag. Low melatonin levels are considered a very common cause of sleeplessness.

Several studies have shown that melatonin supplementation is effective in promoting sleep when melatonin levels are low; however, if an individual takes melatonin when levels are not reduced, then it reportedly has no effect.

This versatile nutrient also has powerful antioxidant activity. It works to stimulate phosphorylation of pyridoxine in the brain and facilitates the formation of pyridoxal 5-phosphate. Melatonin may also help in the methylation process, which is important in the body’s absorption and utilization of certain B vitamins that prompt methylation and glutathione production.

Sorbitol, mannitol, sodium starch glycolate, natural chocolate flavor, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid (plant-based), natural vanilla bean flavor, magnesium stearate (plant-based), sodium chloride.

Free of: Milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy and sesame. 

Suggested Use

Chew or dissolve one tablet in mouth or use as directed by your physician. Tablet may be split in half on the bisect line for a 1.5 mg dose.

Warnings

Store in a cool dry place and tightly capped. Keep out of the reach of children. Formulated for children four years and older. For children under four, consult a physician.​
